The Year-Round Care Retainer
常駐守護 · 學年制For families who want a permanent on-shore presence throughout the school year. Never required, though most families add it once they see what America asks of a nineteen-year-old.

Our home territory
We live here. For students at the University of Denver, CU Boulder, Colorado State, Colorado College and other Front Range institutions, we are physically present within two hours, year-round, including in-person emergency response.
New York City
Our second home
Having lived and studied in New York through university, we know its campuses, neighbourhoods, transit and hospitals firsthand. We fly to your child for their arrival, continue their care remotely, and guarantee an in-person presence within 24 hours in a genuine crisis.

Emergency contacts, the nearest hospital with maps, insurance copies, and step-by-step guides for life's surprises, in Traditional Chinese and English.

Mandy
Founder & Principal Carer
Mandy, a native Cantonese speaker, was born in Macau and raised in Hong Kong and Hawaii. She spent her university years in New York City and lived in many different cities across the United States before making Colorado her home. Mandy has lived the journey her clients' children are about to take: arriving in America young, navigating its forms, banks, hospitals, and unspoken rules, and building a life between two worlds.
Mandy is also a mother in a cross-cultural family herself. She knows, personally, what it means to love someone across an ocean and what it costs to lie awake wondering if her loved one is truly doing okay.
Aloha Architect brings those truths together: the aloha spirit she was raised with, and the Macau and Hong Kong roots she was born with. When you call, Mandy answers, in Cantonese or English, at any hour.

What we will never do
Trust begins with clear limits. So that our role is always clean and conflict-free:
- No financial co-signing. We never place our name on leases, loans or accounts; your family retains all financial authority.
- No medical decision-making. We are coordinators and first responders, never a substitute for your voice.
- No legal counsel. We help you find and communicate with licensed professionals; we do not practise law.
- No markups, ever. Major costs are paid by your family directly; anything we advance is invoiced at cost, receipts attached.
